The ALPI project was founded in the 1960\u2019s by the Coca Cola Company to provide a safety net for migrants and seasonal workers and their children. Today, thanks to the effective efforts of this governing body over the past 30 years, this organization has led the network in innovations, cutting-edge technology and management. The mission of this great organization was achieved through the goals set forth by the board and expanded by our \u201cvisionary CEO\u201d Deloris Johnson (recently retired). We sincerely thank Ms. Johnson for her immense contributions to the Agricultural and Labor Program, Inc.\u00a0 Her legacy will remain strong for many years to come.<\/p>
This board of directors is transforming its focus now to governing at the highest level and as such, we welcome our new CEO, Arlene Dobison. \u00a0\u00a0Originally from New York, Ms. Dobison comes to ALPI with over 25 years of experience, including serving as a Federal Reviewer for the United States Government, Senior Manager of Fiscal Services for the Office of the Governor of South Carolina, and CEO of Lowcountry Community Action Agency (Walterboro, SC).<\/p>
Finally, a warm welcome and thank you to all the new members of the board of directors \u2026 \u00a0you have joined a very hard working, sophisticated body.\u00a0 I look forward to working with each one of you. As a unit, we will continue advocating on behalf of and providing services to children, families and farmworkers within the State of Florida.<\/p>
