15th Annual Fatherhood Conference
“The Dad, The Father, and More”
The South Carolina Fatherhood Coalition was established as a result of receiving a Capacity Building Grant from the National Fatherhood Initiative. The Coalition consists of the Fatherhood/Male Involvement Coordinators from the Head Start Programs from across the state.
The goal of the Coalition is to provide training and support to Head Start Fatherhood Coordinators in order for them to be able to be effective recruiters of fathers and significant others. To assist Head Start Fatherhood Coordinators from programs throughout the state, be effective mentors, advocates and leaders while dealing with male role models facing a variety of obstacles and challenges. Identify community programs for partnership and collaborations in an effort to provide the best resources to fathers and to use a variety of media resources to provide up-to-date recruitment and to showcase fatherhood related activities to increase community awareness and involvement.![]()
