Our offices will be closed on Friday, January 24, 2025, to allow our staff to participate in our Annual Conference and Staff Training. This important event provides opportunities for professional development and enhances our ability to serve our community effectively. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to assisting you when we reopen to normal business hours on Monday, January 27, 2025.
At The Agricultural and Labor Program, Inc., we believe in taking care of the people who take care of our community. As a community action agency dedicated to helping others, we understand that our staff works tirelessly to support those in need throughout the year. These holiday breaks allow our team the opportunity to rest, recharge, and spend quality time with their loved ones. We know that a well-rested team is essential to continuing our mission of making a positive impact in the lives of others. Thank you for your understanding and support!
Thanksgiving is a time-honored tradition rooted in gratitude and togetherness, tracing its origins back to 1621, when the Pilgrims and Wampanoag people shared a harvest feast. It is celebrated as a day to give thanks for blessings, cultivate a sense of community, and reflect on the importance of helping one another. Over the centuries, Thanksgiving has evolved into a cherished national holiday symbolizing unity, generosity, and resilience. It encourages individuals and organizations alike to extend compassion and support to those in need, embodying the spirit of giving and gratitude that is central to the holiday.
This spirit of Thanksgiving aligns closely with the mission of community action agencies like ALPI. By working to empower families, promote self-sufficiency, and build stronger communities, ALPI reflects the values of cooperation and service at the heart of the holiday. Just as Thanksgiving serves as a reminder to uplift one another, ALPI’s programs and services focus on fostering opportunities and improving the quality of life for those in need. In observance of Thanksgiving, all ALPI offices will be closed on November 28-29, 2024. On Wednesday, November 28, 2024, all offices will be closing at 3:30 p.m. and will resume normal business hours on Monday, December 2, 2024. We encourage everyone to take this time to reflect on gratitude, connect with loved ones, and consider ways to contribute to the well-being of their communities.
